This first video, "Carlos's Speech", garnered the attention of the character's voice actor (Dylan Marron), who loved the visual take on his monologue!
I love the challenge of evoking the emotion behind the voice actors' lines using text with minimal graphic elements. I make use of a lot of staple animation techniques and theory, and I enjoy refining the motion and timing of each word so that it hits the beats just right. It feels like a post-production collaboration with the audio artists.
